The invitations are on their way out so Duckie thought it was appropriate to re-post the Wedding Preview Trailer. (Note though the change in venue :))

NEWSFLASH!
Duckie is Moving!
Moving the venue of the Duckie Nuptials, that is.
After months of nail-biting and hair-splitting fretting over the menu and arrangements at Siloso Beach Resort - D & YH finally decided to 'upgrade' to the safer (and swankier) The Sentosa (Beaufort) Hotel! The Sentosa (Beaufort) was their first choice way back when... but had been booked. Amazingly it got freed-up, and now D & YH are thrilled to be re-planning their wedding. :)
Duckie is looking forward to much less hassle and much more food!

Duckie's Next Top Models
MPC
You must have noticed the lack of posts the last two months. Lest you worry that this is indicative of any snags in the Duckie nuptials, be appeased. YH and D have just been caught up in a most-important activity: the Marriage Preparation Course.
To be honest, Duckie was expecting MPC to be an uneventful lecture series culminating in a paper certificate to be shown to the parish. But MPC proved to be no 'diploma-mill' operation; in fact, quite the opposite! 'Homework' in the form of Couple Pax, early-morning 'study-groups' with only prata as sustenance, 'oral exams' at the Foo residence... The term 'lazy Sunday morning' had become a totally alien concept!
But it sure paid off, in more ways than one. MPC has given Duckie friends who can empathize with Duckie's not-always-so-simple situation, mentors to provide inspiration and guidance, new gastronomic insights (move over, Makansutra), and a desire to forge a spiritual center in the relationship. Oh -- and of course -- the all-important certificate, without which the Duckie nuptials could not happen!
We've only just begun...

No, I do not look like Shrek. (aka The Proposal)
Duckie wants to set the record straight and fend-off all the Shrek innuendo surrounding the release of the Wedding Preview Trailer. Yes - YH & D are indeed Shrek fans. And Yes - They like the color green. Not the green that brings to mind ogres but the greens that evoke nature. But no - No one is expected to come in costume for the dinner. And a BIG NO - neither bears a resemblance to any ogres, donkeys, or kitty-cats in boots!
But Shrek does indeed play a big part in The Proposal:
Once upon a fine winter's day, D and YH went to Universal Studios in Japan. Little did D know that YH had hidden his Warner Bros Studios Gold Coast-procured ogre-ear headband in her handbag, folded within his scarf. After lunch, YH excused himself to go to the swamp, err rest room, to relieve himself. He took so long that D figured he had to go do a 'number two'. Just as she was about to call and make fun of him, YH appeared wearing his headband and carrying an extra set of ears for D! But hers were not just ordinary ogre ears - they were attached to a little tiara and a bridal veil! While she laughed, YH bent down and asked - 'Will you be my ogress-bride?' while pulling out his token of diamond rockettes.
And they lived happily ever after :)

Costumes
YH & D have decidedly different shopping habits. D is typically the Gucci-footed Mulberry-toting brat while YH is immensely proud of his cheap-and-chic bargain hunts and Doc Martens.
But it seems that the tables have turned with the start of wedding shopping!
YH is obsessing over his multiple costume changes (three, at the last count) for both the photo session (three doesn't count the wet-t-shirt pose) and the big day. Even his groomsmen outfits have been carefully chosen and the neckties (think Shrek goes to prep school) thoughtfully purchased at this weekend's Robinson's Sale.
D on the other hand? The only thing she's settled for so far is buying a dress (and all the entourage dresses) in Manila -- for the price of renting a dress in Singapore!
